DIMENSIONS GEL pressure relieving overlay pads and sheets

The DIMENSIONS GEL has wonderful properties that make it very useful for people who are uncomfortable when seating, and/or who may be at low to medium risk of skin breakdown. It is a thin sheet that is soft yet strong, can be cut to shape and size, can be washed and sterilized.

It has a wide range of applications such as overlays on wheelchair seats, armrests, headrests, trunk support lateral pads, hip supports, thigh supports, on legrests and footrests. Supracor seat cushions and sheet products

The Supracor cushions and sheets are made from Stimulite, a flexible cellular “honeycomb” matrix that consists of alternating thick- and thin-walled cells that flex when compressed to relieve pressure. When compressed, the cells radiate outwards to surround and support the anatomy, “self-adjusting” to the applied pressure. The “footprint” of the flexible cells stimulates capillary action, bringing more blood to tissue for healthier skin.

 Each cell of Stimulite honeycomb is perforated to allow air to flow both vertically and horizontally, keeping the body temperature from rising and preventing humidity. And because it’s over 90% open space there’s less material and more air in contact with the body, which can really help to keep the person cool, particularly in hot and humid climates.
